Decal Paper, use water only, (Item # with DC 600-799)
Apply over fired glaze surface only. Clean up the ceramic surface. Prepare a pan of warm water (about 30℃)
that enough to cover the size of the decal paper. Dip the decal paper in the water for 2-3 minutes. Spray
water on the surface of the ceramic piece. Slide it onto the surface to attach it. Use a soft rubber scraper
to smooth and drive out any air bubbles. Use a dry towel to take out the extra water. Wait about five hours
until the decal paper dried completed.
Fire it in oxidation (normally in an electrical kiln) at cone 015 (800℃). Started firing with lower speed.
Keep the kiln door slightly open until the paper burns off (about 300℃)., or the images may turn blackish.
Let the temperature cooling down naturally after shut off the electricity. The images will be transferred to
the glazed surface permanently after the firing.
Underglaze Transfer Paper, (Item # with DC 801-899, 901-999)
Brush some water on the decal surface (the side with the color) and place it on the flat surface of the leather
hard or bisque-fired clay work, then use a dry hake brush to drive out the air in between the paper and clay
surface. Wait for the paper dried and peel it off from the work, then apply the clear glaze on the top. To fire
it in the temperature whatever needed. The firing temperature can be from cone 06 up to cone 10.
